American Tapestry Alliance Emerge: Membership Grants for New & Emerging Artists

Deadline: {ONGOING}

Emerge: Membership Grants for New & Emerging Artists
American Tapestry Alliance

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, ATA is now able to subsidize a limited number of memberships for new and emerging, young tapestry artists. Young is defined as no older than 40. Emerging artists are those who are in the early stage of their career, who have garnered some achievements, but not an extensive record of accomplishments.

Interested artists may apply for a one-year membership at the Studio Circle Level. Award recipients may apply for a second year of membership. In exchange for the membership, recipients must spend at least 20 hours volunteering for ATA over the course of their membership year.

Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Submit your application online, or mail a universal CD containing:
A short biography including name, contact information and how you came to discover tapestry.
A statement indicating why you are a good candidate to receive a complimentary ATA membership
Optional: Digital images of tapestries that you have woven, along with their title, dimensions and materials.
